More Past Lives; but a New Oprah!

Were we here before?  Are unexplained phobias a result of a trauma from a previous life?  Make the connection and those fears will disappear: real or no?  The first guest is afraid of dolls.  Afraid of pictures of dolls.  She used the word terrified. Her name is Jodie,  and she can't even let her daughter have dolls.  Jodie meets Dr. Weiss.  Will her past life regression rid her of this fear?  Jodie's afraid and we are curious.  First step, hypnosis.  Jodie sees her grandfather.  She's happy to see him, yet she's crying.  I said this before, Dr. Weiss likes to prompt.  Maybe it's my skepticism.  Maybe it's his role.  Jodie sees a car accident; she's dying and leaving her babies behind.  It feels real to her.  Jodie is prompted to look ahead and see that her babies grew up and are okay.  This is comforting to her.  In her death, she met her grandfather.  (My skepticism is wondering why her grandfather isn't reincarnated?)  Jodie admits her own skepticism.  She finds her doll fear is related to her babies seeing her dead in her past life.  It's a bit confusing.  Oprah needs Dr. Oz to chime in.   He goes a bit into physics and dimensions and doesn't clear up that much.  Oprah encourages us to not really name it but see a spiritual side of life.  I believe in the spiritual side of life - that's as far as I can go now.

Natasha went into a past life.  She doesn't believe in reincarnation but decides to do a past life regression.  She regresses to 1930, Nepal.  Her name is Manju;  she starts speaking Hindi.  She's never even heard this language before.  Sarah conducted the past life regression and actually goes to the town Natasha said she was from in this past life.  Sarah finds the oldest person in the town to help confirm Natasha's memory;  here comes Natasha, all the way to India, too,  to check it out for herself.  Now, I have been to India, and that is quite a trip, believe me.  It's long, and it's arduous.  I hope for Natasha's sake, she finds what she's looking for.  She does.  That's what makes it such a great story, of course.  It's exactly like her memory; the sketches of her memory are identical to what she finds.  Natasha finds it overwhelming.  It is amazing.  Dr. Oz has a medical explanation for this too, but he also says there can be paranormal situations.  Oprah wants us to be Horton and hear the little Whos in Whoville.  Maybe I can fall somewhere in between not believing and believing in reincarnation.  And I guess I do.  Spirit is there.  There are many things we can't understand.  Spirit can find spirit.  Just make sure you know what spirits you are dealing with, I say.

Erin is up next.  In her regressions, she is a Native American man murdered with a spear and a prostitute who is strangled to death.  Confronting these past lives allows Erin to be unafraid of corners (think spears) and touch her neck (think strangulation).  Two phobias cured in 30 minutes.   One thing I'm thinking is that humans are so interesting.  Our fears are so unusual and varied.  My friend Michelle is afraid of a bird flying into the window of her car.  Another friend is afraid a snake might bite her butt when she sits on the toilet.  Still another is afraid her pants will inexplicably fall down while meandering in the aisles of a grocery store. And those are the ones I can think of right off the top of my head.  Dr. Weiss would have his work cut out with my friends.  Oh gosh, with so many new fears in this life, how awful we have to deal with all the cumulative ones of our past lives too.  Wonder what that snake in the toilet is all about....Dr. Weiss?

BLOGGING IS HARD

Blogging is hard, in the summer, during repeat season.  I know I should be updating daily, for my one to two fans, but it's difficult to sit inside on a beautiful day and watch a repeat and then blog.  So I have grown lazy in my blogginess.  Anyway, I do still TIVO Oprah in the hopes I will watch and blog.  I did enjoy the repeat about siblings.  I love the mom of the triplet men.   I love those triplets.  Three successful, educated men.  How sexy is that!!  Mom made them go to school, go to church, or be home.  How smart is that!!! (yes, that got three exclamation points).  Come on, parents.  You need to do the same.  Children actually thrive when they  are honing their mental and spiritual skills.  And if you keep them home, they are safe, watched, and feel loved(and no, I don't mean all the time like they are prisoners; just keep your eyes on them!).  If all the kids in the world felt safe and loved AND got a good education AND developed themselves spiritually, our schools and our world would be  better places.  Yes, this means parents have to be consistent and work hard and be role models, but that's what you signed up for when you had children.  Thanks to all the moms and dads who are doing this already.  Your effort does not go unnoticed.  Hey, I didn't know I was going to get all up on my soapbox like that.  But at least I got some blogging in.  I'll blog more soon - promise.

Just a Little annoyance...just a little...

I'm a little mad at BEST WEEK EVER.
Okay, Here's why:  THE SOUP totally made fun of the Oprah fans during her summer hot picks show.  Sorry, didn't feel like capitalizing.  So anyway, BEST WEEK EVER does nothing about that show.  Then this week, BWE makes fun of some lady on a re-run.  A re-run, I say.  Just some lady peeking around Oprah in the background.  Well, they missed it  the first time around and found time for it this week.  I'm just selfishly saying that I wanted BWE and THE SOUP to make fun of the summer give away show simultaneously.  I guess we don't get everything we wish for.  And yes, I'm ignoring that preposition at the end of a sentence too.  It's just the anger talking, okay?

REPEATS REPEATS

Well, it's summer at Harpo Studios.  So we have all repeats this week.  Monday's show had the woman who dropped 530 pounds.  Yes, her story is amazing.  It makes me feel greedy for wanting to lose my eight pounds that have been bugging me for, say, the last 2 or 3 years.  I did bike 19 miles today in an effort to lose maybe one of those eight.  Of course,  I did have four waffles for dinner later.  I did do some Dr. Oz shopping this week though, but I did forget the blueberries.  And side note, the turkey burgers I'm supposed to be making on my Oprah grill, well they have a lot of ingredients and some are hard to find in the store.   I actually gave up.   I wanted to go to my nephew's little league game.  Unfortunately the ingredient hunting made me late enough to miss his huge home run.  That sucked.

Yesterday, Oprah had medical miracles.  Kevin Everett from the Buffalo Bills was on.  He had a severe spinal cord injury.  He got life saving treatment and a lot of help from God and a doctor God placed with him that day.  Kevin can walk!

Today's show had Justin Timberlake, Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson.  Some great singing and performing.  Not as good as Mary J. - but good enough for a repeat on a Wednesday.

I hope Oprah's enjoying her summer.  I can't wait for mine to begin.  Then maybe I can cook those turkey burgers and get to my nephew's games on time.
