I Don't Really Want to Blog About This.

Do Something...that's Oprah's message today.  And we should.  Child Pornography and Pedophilia are out of control in this country and need to stop.  People don't want to talk about it.  I don't want to blog about it, but pretending it's not happening also needs to stop.  Screeners at the Center for Missing and Exploited Children spend their days watching child pornography in order to help stop it.  I could never do that job, but they do it because they believe in the mission of rescuing these children and putting the abusers in jail.  The latest trend is live, on demand rape.  I can barely type the words. How can this evil even exist?  Against children?  Against infants?  There's even an instruction booklet on how to molest and rape children, created by on line perverts and passed around to their pervert friends.  Again, this is evil personified.  Like Oprah's audience, my heart is breaking.  But Oprah's not flinching.  The message will be heard and we must respond.

There's software that provides information on the who and the where, but there aren't enough law enforcers to keep up with the outrageous number of perverts; so their victims can't be rescued.  This internet connection empowers the molesters to continue.  It's a sea of drowning children and only one life boat to save a few.  What about the rest, waiting to be pulled to safety?

If your child is being abused, it's probably by someone he or she knows.  That's right, fathers are raping their own children and posting it on the internet.  Right in your own neighborhood. As Oprah says, stranger danger right in your neighborhood, right in your home.

Oprah's action plan.  Legislation called Protect Our Children.  Let's get the funding behind what is necessary to catch these lowlife predators.  The Act is going before the Congress this month. We can't rescue these children without the money.  Tell the Senate to pass Bill #1738.  We can protect and rescue children and put the molesters behind bars - where they belong, away from other innocents. Go to Oprah.com and click on the link that says pass the PROTECT our children.  Urge your senator to vote yes!!  It's the least you can do for children.  It's something we can all do.
